ABOUT
Get ready for a one-of-a-kind experience as students aged 14-18 showcase their creativity across five disciplines—writing, visual art, music, cooking, and fashion. Join us for an inspiring youth-driven event that celebrates collaboration and innovation, followed by a reception with delicious small plates prepared by young chefs.
Artist5 Kids will bring together the talents of 15 inspiring students, each representing a different artistic discipline, for a unique event that blends creativity and collaboration. In groups of five, the students will explore the intersection of literature, art, music, cooking, and fashion, each drawing inspiration from a selected piece of literature.
This event offers students aged 14-18 the chance to showcase their skills while working alongside mentors in various creative fields. From an author selecting a passage from an existing work to a visual artist, musician, fashion designer, and chef each creating a piece inspired by the same reading, the event promises an unforgettable fusion of ideas and expression.
The evening will conclude with a reception where attendees can sample small plates created by the student chefs, providing a chance to interact with the talented participants and celebrate their accomplishments. Sponsors, local media, and community members are all invited to support and engage with the next generation of creatives in this exciting event. The Canadian Film Crew will be documenting the event for SCETV.

ABOUT
Hear the stories, view the art, listen to the music, and taste the food and wine.
As part of the Towns in Tune twinning of two communities from different countries, this event features five authors, five visual artists, five singer-songwriters, five chefs, and five sommeliers or wine experts. You will experience the unveiling of works of art based on each author's original writing. Working in three teams of five, the author reads the passage previously sent to each of the artist on their team. Then each artist unveils their work and describes their interpretation of the written word.
A reception will follow when you can meet the artists, have an opportunity to purchase the books and visual art pieces, as well as sample the chefs' creations and wine selections.
