Newberry County
Young Professionals

We are a group for young professionals, ages 21-40, that live and/or work in Newberry County who work to promote and enhance leadership, civic responsibility, and professional development.

An annual drive to collect Hats, Underwear, Gloves, and Socks for our k-12 students in the Newberry County School District. This drive takes place from October through December each year.

Little Free Pantry (LFP)

This project began in 2021. The first pantry was placed in the Mollohon community at Summer Memorial Lutheran Church, across from Mollohon Park, followed by a pantry placed in Dr. Grant Park to serve the Vincent Street community. Another is under construction at the Newberry County Career Center and is set to be placed to serve the West End Community at O'Neal Street United Methodist Church.
The community is invited to, "Take what you need. Give what you can." Help us keep the pantries stocked with non-perishable food items and hygiene products.

  • Monthly Socials and Dinners across the county

  • Access to Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours

  • Annual Disc Golf Tournament

  • Annual Holiday Party

Young Professionals and Business Leaders are needed to attend our event, partnered with Newberry College Career Services!

This event will get students in front of local professional leaders to discuss potential jobs, shadowing, internship opportunities, or general mentorship. Our goal is to help students learn how to socialize professionally and network with business leaders.

We need you to be there to represent your business or organization and help us show the soon-to-be graduates what it means to live, work, and play in Newberry!

This is a fantastic opportunity to cultivate our local talent and recruit not only for your business but future leaders of Newberry.

This event is open to Young Professionals in any career, as well as local professional leaders. Talk to students about what it takes to be an attorney, medical professional, organizer, entrepreneur, service industry leader, or whatever it is that you do professionally.

Light hors d'oeuvres will be served. Help us know how much food to plan for- and RSVP:

  • Open to ages 21-40;

  • Are interested in serving our community through networking, philanthropic, and social activities.
